These past few weeks have been full of great releases, many of which had been held in limbo for so long I never expected them to see the light of day. The Klever track I had first encountered on his Mishka-sponsored Keep Watch mix months back, good to see it finally (sort of) get released as part of a Slow Roast records remix contest. Additionally, I had been waiting for the Nadastrom remix of Art vs. Science pretty much since I started DJing a little more than a year ago (props to Gotta Dance Dirty for uploading it). Of course, Duck Sauce’s summer banger “Barbra Streisand” FINALLY came out. Might be a little past its prime, but I’ve been dying for this track and now that I have it, I’m gonna play it.

new mix and new blog
Here’s a mix I’ve been working on to serve as an inaugural post for this blog. Not sure exactly what I’m gonna do with the blog. It’ll definitely be a primarily music blog but I might include posts about upcoming shows/festivals/raves in LA that I think would be worth attending. Be sure to check back every now and then and follow me if you have a tumblr.
No real theme to the mix, just a bit of intro then some electro for the majority of the mix and then closing out with a bit of disco. The Miami Horror track (second to last song) is one of many I found while trying to expand my serato library to include some more disco type stuff and it’s currently my favorite track.
